What is the LINk?

As a result of the Local Government and Public Involvement Act in Health 2007, a new independent service has to be set up to involve local people, groups and organisations, providing them an opportunity to have their say about how health and social care services are planned, run and improved.

The service is a national service and there are LINks all over the country, located within Council geographical areas.

LINk loves libraries!

LINk is gearing up for a whole week of promotion in North East Lincolnshire's Libraries this February.

We'll be hanging out to talk to the local community about what's going on with the LINk and to chat about what exactly is it that we do!  If you want to raise an issue or just chat with one of our lovely team then don't hesitate to drop in for a word or two at one of the following:

On Monday 8th
we'll be in Immingham Library from 10 - 11.30am.

On Tuesday 9th
we'll be spreading the word iin Grant Thorold Library from 10 - 11.30am and
Humberston Library from 3 - 4.30pm

On Wednesday 10th
we'll be encamped in Cleethorpes Library 10 - 11.30am,
then heading over to Nunsthorpe Library for a 2 - 3pm slot before
spending 3.30 - 4.30pm in Laceby Library.

On Thursday 11th
we'll be hiding out in the the Willows Library from 10.30 - 12 noon
before 'checking out' in Waltham Library 2 - 3.30pm.

On Friday 12th
we'll start the day off in Grimsby Library 10 - 11.30am
then finishing our week in Scartho Library from 2.30 - 4pm.

North East Lincs LINk is number one!

Our LINk has been highlighted as an example of good practice through the work we have been doing on our Young People’s DVD.

Young People's LINk DVD

Are you a young person interested
in creating a DVD?

Are you interested in highlighting
health and social care issues
to other young people?

We want young people to help
us make a young persons DVD
which we hope will be shown
around youth groups and schools.

The Local Involvement Network is
working with the
local community to
improve the Health and Social care
services in their area
.

We want local people, groups and
organisations
to tell us what they
think of
local health and social care
services
so that we can improve them.

We want you to speak up and tell us
about the
positive and negative
experiences you have of health
and social care services
in the
North East Lincolnshire
area.

WHY?

BECAUSE TOGETHER
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Tell us what you think about
the health and social services
in North East Lincolnshire!

Do you have any issues?
