What is the LINk?
As a result of the Local Government and Public Involvement Act in Health 2007, a new independent service has to be set up to involve local people, groups and organisations, providing them an opportunity to have their say about how health and social care services are planned, run and improved.
The service is a national service and there are LINks all over the country, located within Council geographical areas.

Watch our DVD!Our Young People's group have created the DVD Speak Up to raise awareness of health and social care issues that affect young people.
Want to get great experience for your CV and college applications? Want to just get experience? Sign up as a LINk Volunteer and help us promote the DVD in and around schools, colleges and youth centres? Aged 13 - 24? PERFECT, give Karry a ring on 01472 315437, and we will organise the rest. If you work with young people or are involved with young people in some way and want to use our DVD as a tool to find out what young people think of local services? Then ring Karry and we can talk about running workshops, or informal talks with young people on your behalf. If you use the DVD as a tool as part of a session with young people, the only thing we ask is that you do to the survey monkey address online and ask people to complete the simple online form, it won't take long but it will give us lots of information we can use when pushing for changes with the local services themselves.
