Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check

Anyone wishing to be an Enter & View Representative for the NEL LINk must undergo a CRB check.

A person may need a CRB check each time they are involved with a different group and or organisation. This means that even if you have already had a CRB check with another voluntary group or health/social care organisation, you will still need a separate CRB check undertaking for the LINk.  However, if you have already had a CRB check for the LINk (i.e. to become a Governing Body member), then we can use the same CRB check for both roles as it remains within the same group.

Our policy is that it is the responsibility of the individual to ensure their CRB check is done as soon as possible.
CRB checks are done through VANEL (Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire). Ring their CRB team on 01472 231123 for advice or information and they will make any necessary arrangements.

Please note these can take up to 6/8 weeks to come through, and a visit cannot be undertaken until they are complete.
