Get Involved

There are many different ways in which you can get involved with the LINk and any help, however little, is always appreciated.

Because we work with volunteers, we understand that you have your own life and can often be too busy to dedicate much time; that's why we've tailored volunteering opportunities to fit in and around your life.

From one end of the spectrum, we have people who sign up to show their support and do nothing else but receive our quarterly newsletter; to the other where Governing Body members attend meetingsand conferences, represent the LINk on Boards of other organisations and help out at promotional events.

Ways to get involved

  • Sign up to add your support
  • Contact us about your experiences of health and social care services to voice your opinion.
  • Receive our newsletter once a quarter to keep up to date with what we've been doing.
  • Receive our weekly email bulletin, bringing you lots of news and upcoming events from the Voluntary Sector and Health and Social Care Sectors
  • Come along to one of our monthly meetings, pick and choose whatever you're interested in.  You can attend just once or as many as you'd like, we have different speakers every month.  Check out this page for more information.
  • Join our Readers Panel.  From the comfort of your own home you can read documents and leaflets from a range of organisations before they are published to make sure that they are suitable; for example, not using too much jargon for the general public.
  • Take part in some of the live consultations listed on our website here.
  • Join a subgroup dedicated to one particular area, e.g. Patient Safety.  All subgroups work differently, some involve questionnaires, some involve meetings, others involved Enter and View.  For more information, ask one of our staff members.
  • Train to be an Enter and View Representative.  Enter and View is one of our statutory powers to enter and view health and social care premises to check the quality of their services or staff, to follow up complaints or just to make sure that the service, training or building is fit for purpose.  Find out more about becoming an Enter and View Representative here.
  • Join our Governing Body.  Passionate about making sure local people get to have a say on local issues?  Detemined to make a difference to health and social care services in North East Lincolnshire? The Governing Body and staff members of the LINk will do their best to support you in raising awareness of your area of interest or will welcome your support on an issue currently being dealt with.  The Governing Body decides how the LINk will be run and among other things, ensures that we work with other organisations, groups and individuals.
